Craft Link began in 1995 working with ethnic minorities- black Thai, Nung, and Ta Oi- in the remote Central Highlands
of Vietnam. Working closely with the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi, Craft Link helps preserve the traditional tribal
skills of weaving and embroidery. Craft Link also provides marketing, design, and management advice to street children in
Hanoi who are learning stone carving skills, to handicapped girls learning to quilt, and to a group of physically-disabled
woodcarvers from Hue. Ceramics come from Bat Trang, a small village near Hanoi, on the Red River, which has been famous for
its ceramics since the 15th century. Over 90% of the villagers in Bat Trang earn a living from ceramics production.
